Introduction Born in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I have a strong love of the outdoors and plenty of Finnish sisu. I now live in eastern Pennsylvania along the Appalachian Mountain Range (the Kittatinny Ridge). I teach in the Department of Biological Sciences at Moravian College in Bethlehem (a strange mix of biochemistry and environmentally-themed courses) and am actively involved in a restoration project at the Palmerton Superfund site and Lehigh Gap Nature Center (www.lgnc.org).
