| Introduction | Hello! I am Archana and i live in NJ,USA. I welcome you all to "THE TURMERIC".Food is my passion. My family and I love and adore different kinds of foods. I love to cook especially the way differnt spices are used and the step by step procedures different receipes are cooked. The reason to this blog is to share all the delicious indian/non-indian receipes and tips i learnt from my mother, shared by my friends and the receipe collection i have for years from some magazines, newspapers, TV etc. So tune in for some interesting, delicious and healthy receipes. Why Turmeric as my Blog name? This particular spice has been used for its medicinal value for centuries in not only in indian food but also in middle east and south asian countries for different uses.It is an essential ingredient in our foods for its properties. it as a readily available antiseptic for cuts, burns and bruises. It is also used as an antibacterial agent. It is one important spice that i always keep handy at home and use extensively, this made me name my blog as TURMERIC. |
