| Introduction | Welcome everyone to my newly created blog. I live in South Wales in the UK at the top of a steep hill overlooking the Llanfrechfa valley in one direction and the river Usk and the Usk Valley in the other. We are surrounded by high hills and mountains in the distance ensuring we have plenty of rain! My garden is tiny, steeply terraced and north-west facing so we don’t get an overabundance of sunlight. At the edge of the garden is a wood with creeping brambles which are constantly trying to creep forward and gain a foothold. And then there are the squirrels which eat everything including the flower heads off the daffodils and tulips and the numerous slugs and snails who seem to think my garden is just a convenient smorgasbord/salad bar... And don’t even mention the odd wandering sheep... |
