| Introduction | Mike Chisholm, a late vintage boomer, born in 1954. Unlike Premier Cru boomers, I never lived in The Land Before Rock'n'Roll, a crucial distinction.
State-educated in the People's Republic of Stevenage (a New Town north of London, England), I surprised everyone by being admitted to Balliol College, Oxford and, having got a taste for student life, went on to further studies at the University of East Anglia and University College London. Finally facing the realities of employment in the grim late '70s, I became a librarian in the university sector, where I worked from 1978-2014. It has been gratifying (and slightly mystifying) to discover that this is actually a dream job for many people. On reflection, they're probably right. However, I have always maintained a serious and sanity-saving parallel existence as an artist-photographer and bookmaker.
