Introduction Pardon My Crumbs is a blog started out of love. There are two surefire ways I show my love: By making an amazing meal and writing a heartfelt letter. In April 2009, I found myself doing a lot of both when my 31-year-old husband, Bryan, was diagnosed with brain cancer. Suffice to say his treatments took a lot out of him, so while Bryan spent hours sleeping off chemotherapy effects I would spend hours in our tiny apartment kitchen... chopping, dicing, slicing, baking... you name it. Cooking was cathartic, an edible yet emotional outlet I had turned to many times in my life. It fed my soul, nourished my husband's body, and provided us the one bit of normalcy in a life otherwise turned upside down. So where does the writing come in? I started cataloging my recipes, photographing each dish, and blogging about the emotions that accompanied our meals. Fast forward a few years... Bryan is healthy and Pardon My Crumbs is a full-fledged food blog. You'll still find those original recipes alongside updated classics, restaurant reviews, food news, and even my contributions to LA Weekly and Culinary.net. Bon Appetit!
