| Introduction | I am a New Zealander currently living in Lae Papua New Guinea. I have been creating with fabric and fibre most of my life. In the past six years I have mainly used wool fibre creating 3D figures, trees and masks using wet and dry felting techniques. I find needle felting to be an exciting technique that has so many possibilities to explore. I also like to felt in the traditional way with soap and water and then decorate the fabric with yarns and fibre using felting needles. I am always experimenting with the fibres to see how I can use it in different ways to achieve that ultimate piece that will finally satisfy me. |
