Introduction Ted Frank has won several landmark cases and millions of dollars for consumers and other plaintiffs through the three-lawyer Center for Class Action Fairness, the non-profit project he founded in 2009. He is also an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute. Mr. Frank was a resident fellow with the American Enterprise Institute from 2005 to 2009, a litigator from 1995 to 2005, and clerked for the Honorable Frank H. Easterbrook on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Frank, a 1994 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School with high honors, has testified before federal and state legislative subcommittees multiple times on class actions and other legal issues. His challenges to unfair class action settlements have been covered by the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, the National Law Journal, the American Lawyer, and numerous other publications. In 2008, Mr. Frank was elected to membership in the American Law Institute. He is played by a much more handsome and blue-eyed actor in the HBO docudrama based on the book that mentions Mr. Frank once on page 362.
