Introduction	I grew up in a semi-rural upstate New York neighborhood of engineer dads and stay-at-home moms. Arts and crafts were my after school, after kickball occupations; most often cardboard was my medium of choice. Cardboard gave way to wood and primarily clay for many years. Several years ago I began to study silversmithing and the magic and the challenge of creating valued, meaningful personal accoutrements.
