Introduction A friend once described the intersection of faith and politics from a pluralist perspective as a bunch of people, all in the same boat, rowing at different rhythms and often in opposite directions. More often than not, the people in that boat abandon rowing in favor of ganging up and beating one another senseless. Understandably, many others give up altogether, because they're disgusted by the chaos. What's it going to take to get us all focused on rowing? (With the possibility somewhere in the hazy distance that we might even learn to coordinate our efforts?) Not sure. But being aware that we're all in this together should probably be the first step.
