Introduction J.R. Clark was born at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in 1963. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Augusta State University and a Master of Arts degree in United States History from the University of South Carolina. He currently teaches and resides in Hampton, Virginia.
