Introduction | I write and post poetry on this blog, under the pen name, S.L. Corsua, to convey my observations, introspection, and imagination. Here, I have free rein to contemplate alternative beginnings as well as possible or impossible endings. I love playing with words; I get to do that here, millions of brain cells away from the technical BLAH-BLAH-BLAH of the law. ;)
I used to write prose many years ago, revelling in CW workshops while at it for two years or so, stopped when I pursued my Juris Doctor degree in Law, later resumed creative writing as a hobby, but this time I crossed over to poetry. It was love at first sight, so to speak, when, by chance, I heard a reading of Pablo Neruda's "If You Forget Me." Caveat: I have a thing for alternating themes when I post here, i.e., from the generally 'fun/happy/light' to the generally 'serious/sad/heavy' poems and vice-versa. Occasionally, I also change the style. Cheers. |
Interests | poetry writing and reading, philosophy, singing (first or second soprano), photography, lucid dreaming |
Favorite Music | Ranging from classical to club music (haha). But the ones that originally 'moved' me, eight years ago, to write poem after poem after poem would be: Enya, and Michael Nyman's film scores for "The End of the Affair" and "Gattaca." |
