| Introduction | Hi! Erin and Kerry are old friends from college. We live far away from each other in LA and Brooklyn, but we don’t let those 3000 miles slow down our friendship. We are card-carrying National Park members and recently went hiking in Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon. We listened to “The World Without Us” on tape while driving between the parks and were stirred to action by the description of the mass of garbage floating in the Pacific Ocean that is larger than Texas. We know we can’t make that mass of garbage disappear, but we decided that we don’t want to contribute to it, either. No way. So here we are, chronicling our use of plastic and getting it down to one piece per day. Easy? No. But it’s not impossible either. Your support, encouragement and ideas are welcome! |
