Introduction Time imprints the landscape with evidence of its passing, speaking to us through ephemeral tide lines on beaches and wave forms locked in geological strata.... Memory, science, relevance of pattern and natural decoration found in landscape, are imagined passages that inform a natural programme within my work. My line of work continues to research context and site-specific information in an art practice that invites the community to participate in public realm projects. My studio practice combines a focus on the hand-made with a small role of industrial production techniques e.g. decal prints for application onto the ceramics to record and place the distillations of my research. I use traditional materials and techniques that combine new technologies and industrial techniques for the majority of the public artworks – ceramic sculpture / tiles, slip casting, photographic ceramic transfer, print transfer to architectural materials, and glass production.
