Occupation | College Professor of Ecology |
Location | Upper Midwest, United States |
Introduction | I am a Certified Wildlife Biologist and Assistant Professor of Ecology. I have had past careers as a state regulator, working with rare amphibians and reptiles, and an environmental consultant. I recieved my Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. |
Interests | I'm interested in the outdoors, and am specifically focused on wildlife ecology and conservation. I am primarily a muddy-boots field biologist, and I like to get out and get my hands dirty. Therefore, I'm interested in making attempts to scrutinize phenomena I observe when out-of-doors (albeit in a ham-fisted human-primate sort of way). I firmly believe that it is only after we have an understanding of how species behave and interact in the wild that we can hope to effectively conserve them. |
