| Introduction | I specialise in creating mathematics-powered software tools which provide new capabilities, reduce operational costs and improve products. I am experienced in building, leading and managing research & development teams, including the design and implementation of recruitment, management, innovation and reporting processes. I am also an accomplished Java (Enterprise) software developer and architect. As founding director of ThinkTank Maths, my main responsibility was technical delivery to clients such as: UK MoD, European Space Agency, Tesco, RBS and Maersk Oil. Results included multi-million pound cost savings in financial services and game-changing capability in autonomy for aerospace and defence. Prior to this, I founded a charitable initiative that has written and delivered five million free textbooks to high school students in South Africa. |
