Introduction I love writing. I'm 47, have 6 children and a tolerant husband. I've had 2 poetry pamphlets published, the latest PLAYING OUT TIME (Driftwood, 2005.) I've been widely published in magazines - including The Reader, SMOKE, Smith's Knoll, The Rialto, The Interpreter's House, Iota, Orbis and many more. I've written a libretto for Dominic Gannon's Cantata "Benares" premiered at the Cornerstone Festival, The Liverpool Mozart Orchestra (Dec 05); I've also made a poetry film, Nothing Rhymes with Poets project (2006) - but I didn't like the film. I did a regular opinion column for the Liverpool Echo from 2004-5. I'm interested in writing about the body, sexuality, the poetics of motherhood and also trying to use form in my work, especially the sonnet. My attempt to study English Literature at York University in 1981 lasted only 6 weeks. I've a degree in Law, an MA in Creative Arts and no discernible career. I'm founder of the Liverpool based charity, North End Writers.
