Introduction I am a mother of 5 year old Youssef, wife to bratty Syrian husband and limo driver Belal, and proud of my American roots and freedom. I married my first husband Fatih (petroleum engineering Phd) from Turkey on April 14, 2000. We divorced due to in-law interference on June 8, 2003. I remarried Belal on August 5, 2003. We had the light of my life, Youssef, on June 24, 2004. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in History (primarily Islamic) and Neurobiology in December 2002. I sold Dell Computers in the consumer/gamer division, since there is little money in biology without a master's. I came back to Christianity on May 1, 2007 after 10 years as a Muslim, and recently went public. Husband is not happy, but the light in my parents eyes makes all the difference. I'm trying to come to terms with the fact that my son remains in the religion and that I'm married to someone in it. It has not been easy, but I trust God. And now I took Shahada again, because my beliefs in salvation and original sin are closer to Islam. Where will all of this lead? Only Allah knows.
