Introduction | I have an inquirying mind - its always leading me off in interesting directions as I follow my curiosity to connect the things about me. I have to work to be focused to turn that curiosity into art through making. I love to work intuitively - not necessarily knowing what the end, or even the next step is going to be until I get there. I never get bored when I'm engaged in making, there are always so many new arena's of discovery and things to try. Creating my own pieces is a journey in itself that I find deeply satisfying |
Interests | Far too many interests, Textile Art, Astrology, Numerology, Photography, Travel - People and Places, Hiking, nature, reading, the tarot |
Favorite Movies | Dances with Wolves - perfect combo of music, words, scenery, love and acting. Recent movie: Walk the Line - what a great story and great music. I was born towards the end of the Johnny Cash reign, and enjoyed the movie enough to buy the sound track. 2019: Van Gogh and Japan. This was published in conjunction with the 2018 Exhibition of the same name at the Van Gogh museum. In December 2019 I went to see the movie release of the exhibition and found myself swept up and away by Van Gogh's connection with nature and his expression of that in his work |
Favorite Music | Really love Steve Parish and Australian Bush recordings artist. Kakadu and Uluru move me on a deep level. |
Favorite Books | Judy Moody - its a children's book that is Way Cool. Quilting Arts Magazine - love the edges that it takes me to. |
