Introduction | As an American expat permanently living in France since 2009, there are certain things I go absolutely insane for, so don't be alarmed. Originally from California, I have both French and Indian (dot not feather) backgrounds. Growing up in SoCal, my tastebuds became as Mexican as any real Mexican. University in San Diego showed me Japanese and Korean culinary bliss as well. Now that I'm living in the culinary capital of the world in France and will soon be discovering Chinese gastronomy, I'm in total fusion with what the farmers have to offer and my wild and unconventional cravings from a past or future life. This blend of madness comes together nicely in recipes, although sometimes it's not so much about the result as it is about the experience. Some like it hot, I like it Volcanic... For my compadres of the world, here is my interpretation of our blogging venture: We do not just eat, we indulge. We live the moment with all our senses. Cooking and preparing food is not a chore, it has been engrained in us by our different cultures, experiences, and new adventures... and it's not.... over...... yet. |
