Introduction You should check out my website The Animated World of Martin Lindsey and see some of the cool 2D and 3D stuff I've been learning in the Master of Arts Animation program at DePaul University's College of Computing and Digital Media. A few of the things I'd like to explore career wise include animated film title sequences, science animation, digital installation art and comic animation. I also want to make animated short films for festivals. I’d really like to collaborate with fine artists and animate some of their works in the form of "visual music" films (a.k.a. abstract or experimental film). I am also the owner of Aqueduct Digital Media where I'll be producing my independent animated and live action films as well as collaborative projects with other artists. I'm a digital animator experienced with software packages such as AutoDesk MAYA for 3D modeling and animation, Adobe Photoshop, AfterEffects, Flash and Illustrator for animation production and special effects compositing, Digidesign ProTools for sound design and both Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier Pro for digital film editing.
Favorite Movies I'm a war movie junkie. My favorites are Flyboys, Force Ten From Navorone, The Dirty Dozen, Stahlag 17, Patton, To Hell and Back, The Longest Day and Saving Private Ryan. I like the classics too like, The Maltese Falcon and To Catch A Thief. I enjoy most of Spike Lee's stuff. School Daze came out when I was in college. Drum Line was the latest fictional Black college movie that had me reminiscing about my school days at Tuskegee years ago.
Favorite Music P-Funk, uncut funk, ah-dah-bomb! I'm a 70's funk and roll fan. Doobie Brothers, Brothers Johnson, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire...you get the idea.
Favorite Books The World Is Flat by Thomas L. Friedman, They Came Before Columbus, The African Presence in Ancient America by Ivan VanSertima. Anything on Leadership from John Maxwell, Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen, anything by Joyce Meyer.
