Introduction I am a British ceramic slipware artist and I exhibit my work in the UK and Europe. At the moment I split my life between my home in Worthing in England and my workshop which is located in Southern of Spain. Concentrating on sustained spells of practical pot making abroad works for me, but then I need to hook up into the hustle and bustle of England where I can wallow in easy language, it is here that I design and plan the work. I am drawn towards everyday objects. I believe that many of the objects we are attracted to today have been with us all of our lives. They live deep inside our DNA and quite literally become the fabric of who we are. I continually ask myself what are my favourite things and also the following questions: Why these objects? What power do they hold for me? What meaning? What memories do they conjure up? What emotions? And most importantly, what stories do I tell myself about them and through them? How have they become a part of who I am and what part of me do I leave behind in them?
