Introduction	I'm Duncan's mom on this roller coaster called motherhood. So, far it’s been wonderful. I have a great husband, loving family and friends. Not to mention I have the most wonderful son ever, (*of course I feel that way! I am his mother, right?) My mother and I have multiple food allergies so it was no surprise that my 'ex- 35 weeker' (premature - born at 35 weeks 1 day) also has multiple food allergies. What took us all by surprise was how severe, and how young, he was diagnosed. A year ago, at 4 months old, after months of mysterious symptoms and illness Duncan was diagnosed with corn allergy at Children's National. (This is the part where I say "YAY CHILDREN's" and do a little happy dance.) We have also discovered he is allergic/intolerant to the following things as well: Dairy, Pure Coconut, Egg, Gelatin, possibly Beef and Gluten. Duncan also has severe outdoor allergies. So, as new parents our world has been totally flipped upside down, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Our adventure in allergy friendly living is making us all more knowledgable, healthy and ultimately better people.
