| Introduction | Originally born on the east coast of Canada, Moira has always been surrounded by beautiful scenery. She began painting abstract pieces at a young age and found photography during the first year of her undergraduate degree. From 2000-2004 Moira attended Mount Allison University in Sackville New Brunswick. In 2004 she received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Commerce and Fine Arts. Her Fine Art specialization was photography -- under the supervision of Thaddeus Holownia(www.holownia.com) -- and she received honorable mentioning for her sculptural work supervised by Jennifer MacKlem (www.macklemjones.com). During her time at Mount Allison, Moira's photography was selected for the Mount Allison publication "Seven Mondays" (2003) and was exhibited in Mount Allison’s President’s Cottage (2004). She has recently finished a Master of Science degree at the University of Guelph where she exhibited several of her paintings (2006) and was a member of the University Fine Art Network. |
