Introduction | Artist's Statement: When I paint a person (from photo or in person) or an object, I don't try to replicate every physical detail. Instead, I attempt to capture what that person or the object projects. It maybe a pose, costume, smile, stillness or moment of silence. The main intention is not only achieve a likeness of the person or object, but to also capture a moment or essence about he/her or the object that tells a story, or in some way engages the viewer’s imagination. Self Taught. |
