Introduction Welcome to Blueberry Plains. My name is Debbie and I live in a tiny little town in southern Maine, not too far from Portland. I grew up in a quaint little fishing village... Yarmouth... and not far from where I am today. It was a great place to grow up...full of relatives and friends. I'm married to a sweet man named Bob and we have been together for about 23 years. We have a 27 year old son named Kyle who within the last year moved to Portland and a 29 year old daughter named Carissa who lives in the big city (Portland). Although an empty nester, I still have one kid at home...my crazy crybaby jet black cat named Baby. We recently lost our beloved Jack Russell named Obie. He is sadly missed by us all. I started this blog to meet other women who may have some of the same interests as me. I love to craft, play guitar, crochet, go to yard sales, cook, entertain, garden and...you know...all those good things us girls like. I live on land that was once called Blueberry Plains so it seemed appropriate to name my blog that. We still have a huge field of blueberries on our land and we pick them every July. We are living the good life over here on the Plains...one day at a time..
Interests Playing guitar, crocheting, sewing, music, reading, watching movies, spending time with family & friends, cooking, gardening and being creative.
Favorite Movies I love murder/mystery type movies...kind of the who done it type I guess. I enjoy trying to figure it all out as the movie progresses. That would be the detective in me I guess! Some of my favorites are Avatar, Julie & Julia, It's A Wonderful Life, Wizard Of Oz, Good Morning Vietnam...
Favorite Music I grew up in a musical family. My dad played guitar and banjo and my mother sang in the band. They sang a lot of 40's type music so that is very near and dear to my heart because it is my heritage. Other than that, I love motown, blues, rock...love the Beatles, Aretha...a lot of 60's and 70's music...some country (not much)...and a little bit of everything. I used to be a neil young and john prine fanatic!
Favorite Books Too may to list....I enjoy reading. One of my absolute favorites is Angelas Ashes.
