About me

Location Montgomery, TX, United States
Introduction I see movies in my head—movies I create, based on stories I imagine, starring characters I mold out of thin air. That’s where all of my novels, novellas and short stories come from. They all start as a collection of movie scenes that I arrange and rearrange until my story gels.

My characters rehearse their lines endlessly. I sometimes stop them in mid-stream to change a few words. But they never complain. They know I’m only trying to make their dialog tighter, more believable—which makes them look better as actors. They are tireless—running scenes over and over until they’re perfect.

Filming is wrapped when I say so, since I’m the writer, producer, and director. Then comes the tough part: writing it all down.

But when I’m finished, my story will have suspense, drama, mystery, and probably a bit of humor—because that’s the way I roll, as they say. And if I’ve succeeded, it will be like watching a movie—a movie that once existed only in my head.

My books: Bicycle Shop Murder, Hideaway Hospital Murders, Illusion of Luck, Fly the Rain, Sweet Ginger Poison, Naked Frame, 22 Short Stories, Amateur Investigator, Ginger Dead House.
