Interests Writing and reading anything that makes me think, examine life, and find new ways to navigate it; work--challenging myself in new ways, planning curricula, studying to learn more, planning professional development with my peers, learning more about the students I teach and finding new ways to inspire them; talking with my kids--listening to their ideas, interpretations, hopes and desires; my daily ever-changing workouts with Tracy Anderson--absolutely amazing, the woman is a genius and I feel my absolute best thanks to her and a LOT of hard work!; listening to music and dancing with my man;relaxing at home (when does THAT happen?!), cooking--studying health and nutrition and bringing it to life in our home; watching my dog run--she's like a bullet darting here and there; watching movies with my family; learning to play piano; singing, watching the hawks hover and glide in the air; breathing fresh country air; taking in the scenery; the sound of birds calling into the wind; the weight of darkness at 3 am, when I start my day outside with the dog's relief walk; the quiet that accompanies me when nearly everyone around me sleeps; life--being fully engaged in getting better at all of it; aging--what a fascinating study!; neurology--our brains are endlessly fascinating; finance--the mystery of it is my newest study and it's about time!; my interests multiply with age and my greatest joy is learning, so I delve into them with purpose and pleasure.

Favorite Music Thanks to Tracy Anderson's method, I use dance music to fuel the cardio component of my workouts, so that is my go-to music right now--gets me moving, which is essential if I'm going to keep up with the busy pace of life; I love classic guitar or piano when I'm cooking; sing-along pop or rock when I'm driving; classical when I'm working; and anything and everything in between to suit different moods. I love music so I'm all over the place with it.
Favorite Books These days, I read constantly. Thanks to Audible.com, I listen to audio books during my 90-mile drive to and from work and my range is broad.
