Introduction I was always the "kid who could draw" in my school. I took my first animation class from an independent filmmaker in Louisville, Kentucky when I was in the seventh grade and fell in love with animation. I spent a lot of time acting and drawing in high school and escaped to spend my first year at a profit-driven art school in Savannah, Georgia. Though I was a straight-A student there, I was kicked out and luckily found my way to a better school. I finished my studies in the Illustration and Animation departments at the Rhode Island School of Design. I've been working at Pixar for over 10 years now, and teaching at the Academy of Art University for over half that time. My career started as an intern when Toy Story was in the theaters and I have worked on every major Pixar film since. My most recent stint was as a Supervising Animator on Cars and am currently helping Pete Docter with pre-production animation development for his next film.
