Introduction | Fergus grew up traveling across the Country and has lived everywhere from New Hampshire to California. His interests were fueled early on by a diverse and eclectic family of international ex-pats, artists, writers and antique dealers. He first fell in love with Nature at the family home in the remote and beautiful area of North Central Pennsylvania. Since then, he has spent the past ten years studying Primitive Firemaking, Wild Edible and Medicinal plants, Animal Tracking, Flint Knapping, Traditional Hide Tanning methods and Bow Making. He has studied with members of the Apache and Cherokee Nations as well as noted herbalists Kathleen Maier and Phyllis Light. Fergus currently lives in Afton, Virginia where he writes and offers courses on primitive techology. |
