| Introduction | Mags Rags as an online business came into existence in 2001, and I currently have more than 1000 feedback on the original site, 100% positive. But I've been fascinated by vintage clothing and accesssories since my college years, in the late 60s/early 70s. I started wearing vintage back then as a fashion statement and because my soul responded to the fabrics and designs and historical resonance of older garments. For me, vintage has always been like a stray puppy - it just follows me home, whether I have room or not, and whether it fits me or not! Prior to the birth of internet selling, I held rare trunk sales out of my home or back yard. Now, thanks to the information super highway, my finds are spread across the U.S. and internationally, from the UK to Malaysia. I started out in the Chicago area, and settled in the Pacific Northwest about 20 years ago. My day job is in health care, and my family and I are deeply involved on local theater - acting, directing, and (of course!) costuming. |
