| Introduction | I am a single man, very handsome and active. I came to the Cedar Creek District from San Francisco. I landed in Portland-town, but didn't find anyone interesting there, so I went out to the Cedar Creek District and met the Johnsons, the Cummins and the Andersons. They were all different, but interesting people. I tried to court some very lovely girls, but I got beat up over that. Never-the-less, I bought the Shilling Place half-way up Parrett Mountain and had a very reasonable life up there. My favorite town is Butteville and I am a staunch Unionist, as opposed to some folks in this neck of the woods. |
