| Introduction | I not only write about law enforcers, I used to be one. As one of the first women to become an Iowa State Trooper, I learned about good guys and bad guys up close and personal. And how it feels to wear a uniform, carry a firearm, and be prepared to use it. Later I became an investigator with the Iowa Department of Justice with the Consumer Protection Division. When I had four children in two years (one plus triplets--you do the math) I left law enforcement to care for them. That's when I first started to write. And look at me now! |
