| Introduction | Once you hit sixty, you start examining your bucket list of dreams. What have I always wanted to do that I haven't accomplished? For me, the answer was one word: write. I write romance, historical romance and romantic suspense. Finally, at the age of 63, my first novel was published. I now have 3 books and 2 novellas under contract. My debut book, STORM'S INTERLUDE, was a Merit of Award winner in two categories of the HOLT Medallion Award contest. STORM'S INTERLUDE was also nominated as Book of the Year at Long and Short Reviews. I've been blessed with many people in my life. Calvin, to coin a simplistic, over-used term, is my "soulmate." We both write. We laugh at the same things, think the same thoughts, cry at the same movies and share the same hope for a better, kinder world. My 3 children and stepson are the light of my life. And my grandchildren, well, don't get me started. I've found that grandchildren bring a spark of amazement, sweetness and energy to your life--a special kind of happiness. I am very blessed with husband, children, grandchldren and friends whom I hold dear. |
