Introduction | I was born in London(UK) then spent the next 30 years growing up in Bristol where I got my u/grad degree from the University of Bristol and taught 4th grade for 5 years before moving to the US in 1977. I received my PhD from the University of Illinois in 1982 when I started my life in teacher education at Trinity College in Burlington, VT. After 17 years at TC I returned to public schools in the Chittenden COunty area as a professional development specialist in math and science education at the K - 6 level. In 2005 I started work at St. Michael's. My wife Lucie works at Fox44 TV station and runs Andy's Dandys, a dog treat business with a mission for helping students with special needs transition to the workforce. My daughter, Marie, is a grad student in the Special Education program st SMC and is a remarkable musician who plays lots of music around Burlington. My wonderful son Andrew has just graduated from High school and will be working part time in Alliot at SMC. He has Down syndrome. |
