Introduction I can be very social, but then a recluse. I like my privacy when I'm working in my flower garden. I like to meditate there with God and the birds and the flowers. I love animals, all God's creatures and I can't stand people that abuse them! I strongly urge anyone that wants a pet to adopt from your local animal shelter. There are many loving animals that are at shelters waiting for a loving home. You can find me most of the time on Flickr where I have a photostream!
Interests Gardening, astronomy (looking at the stars and planets), photography, painting and sketching, ice skating, hiking, birdwatching, caring for the environment, making a wildlife habitat, climbing trees (although I haven't done that in a while!lol) I believe that clean energy for our planet will come in the form of solar and wind power and NOT nuclear power. Nuclear power is too dangerous and many plants have been found leaking radioactive Tritium into wells that can spread hundreds of miles. Also there has not been found a safe way to dispose of nuclear waste. Having grown up around a nuclear weapons plant, I know all too well the effects it has on humans. So many people just in our small neighborhood alone were dying of cancers as well as younger people (at the time, like me) suffering from low thyroid function or non at all. I now have to take synthetic thyroid hormone. I am against the president's policy of using nuclear power plants for "clean" energy!! Good heavens, where did he get THAT kind of fairy tale?? Probably the big companies paid him off to renew their licenses. Pathetic. So don't ever tell me that nuclear is the way to go. It's the way to destroy us and the planet. Solar and wind power are the answer.
