About me

Introduction A Brazilian born Londoner, I am an enthusiast for good food. It celebrates life, brings people together, gives pleasure - and I am a great believer that the right foods have the power to heal. My motto is healthy and happy eating – with some emphasis on the happy bit. Margot’s Kitchen is not a free-from zone. In recent years, there’s been an explosion of the so called “clean eating” and radical free-from diets which can turn into an unhealthy food obsession. In 2007, I received a diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine, in London, and I know very well that some people have certain health conditions which require special diets. I’ll be more than happy to share some recipes that will be suitable for such readers. But the rest of us should just be sensible about what we cook and eat - preferably, whole and organic foods. Besides food, my other love is travel. Whether in my kitchen, eating out in London or exploring other corners of the world, I frequently look for new ingredients and authentic ways of cooking. The provenance of the ingredients is paramount. From off the beaten track to the mainstream restaurants, I am always in search of good food.
