Occupation | Silversmith and artist |
Location | Pembroke, Maine, United States |
Introduction | I am a self employed artist and silversmith. I grew up in a very small town in the mountains of the northern Adirondacks, NY. I attended college for 3 out of my 4 years at SUNY New Paltz, in the Hudson Valley in NY. I graduated with a BA in 2005. My major was studio art with a minor in art history. I studied silversmithing and photography mainly, but dabbled in other studio classes here and there. I was inspired to start using sea glass in my jewelry when we moved to downeast Maine two years ago. Last year we bought a house near the coast, on a peninsula in Pembroke, ME. I have my own little studio room to create in, here at home. All of the sea glass and beach pottery in my jewelry is personally picked off the beaches here in Maine. You can currently find my work for sale at: ~Flying Mountain Artisans in Southwest Harbor, ME~ ~Eastport Breakwater Gallery in Eastport, ME~ ~www.smwartworks.etsy.com~ |
