Introduction Hi, my name is Donna and I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I've been here for 22 years. Before this I lived in New Zealand - Wellington and the Wairarapa. I am the mother of three sons and nana to two grandchildren. I love making things. It takes me more time to choose my materials and threads than actually sewing the article. I have to spread my materials out, look at them, feel them, hold them and walk around them before I make up my mind what I'm going to use. I sort of "see" what I'm making before it has been created. And I'm always learning, learning, learning. Late February/March 2008 I had brain surgery - since then I've been in more into my right brain, and thank goodness for that. I always seem to have something in my hands making something. My life has changed remarkedly in the last few years - I don't write like I used to (one time I used to write for a living). Hence, this is my first attempt in 'blogging' - I wonder where it will take me? Oh, another thing - I'm now a volunteer at the hospital where I was taught to speak again. I work in Rehab and in Mental Health.
