| Introduction | As a whole, my life in retirement is pretty good. My health is at a good place. I am in a 40+ year marriage, and I still have sleeping indoors privileges. After a few years of "over-qualified," I took early retirement. After sucking in our horizons appreciably, we are in okay financial condition. When I awake each day, I try to face it as a new adventure. I haunt the local library. I enjoy road trips when I can afford them. I like to think of myself as a raconteur and a boulevardier. As I get older, it's sometimes hard to sort out which of my life experiences are real and which are vicarious. |
