| Introduction | I started the Amatourist as a place to capture the authentic. To put a little context around those one-of-a-kind joints that help shape the story. The spots to which I’ll want to return at some point to retell those stories. Over time it’s grown from eats and travels to also include art, books, music, drinks, and really anything else I feel like jotting down. I try to keep it personal yet detached with a fair amount of self-deprecation, something that can be difficult to conjure up in great doses when exposing a highly edited version of yourself.
