| Introduction | Our story: My husband Kevin and I have been married 14 years. Outdoor adventures brought us together and infuse our life with excitement and challenge. Our son, Alex, is nine, is wonderful, and was diagnosed with Autism when he was three. We have been on the hunt, ever since, to find the best experts in our area, and to discover and use the best treatment methods we can find. Our life is very rich, while we are not, and we put everything we have into building towards a bright future. We have pets and projects galore, and live in a 100 year old cottage in Duluth, MN. Before settling down we also variously lived in Colorado, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and traveled extensively. Kevin runs a small business, Empire Wool and Canvas Company, and I work at a local hospital with children in behavioral and/or mental health crisis. I am about to start graduate school to earn a Masters in Social Work, and become and LICSW to work further with kids. I want this blog to keep family and friends informed on parts of our lives, and allow new friends to understand a bit about our journey. Come on along for the ride, all are welcome! |
