Introduction	Despite a PhD in applied mathematics and a grown-up job, I never lost my love of toys and playing outside, whether it's working on old cars, running through the woods with my hunting dogs, sharpening a pocket knife, or relaxing with a fishing pole. With two daughters, I try and pass on my hobbies and the lessons I've learned pursuing them.
