| Introduction | Seri Mayangsari formally known as Seri Ulan, has been established since 1990. Currently, our weekly venue for practices is at Ayer Rajah CC. As one of the 3 Kuda Kepang group in Singapore, Seri Mayangsari have performed in various occasion for examples, in CC event day, Sembawang Army HQ Family day, Geylang Malay Village and not forgetting the popular event for Malay culture which is the Malay Wedding, Engagement and Circumcision. Seri Mayangsari has a Captain and two Vice-captains. We also have a Coordinator who wills co-ordinate with the group members either for training, meeting, discussions schedule or other matters. To date, we have more than 30 member of all ages; both men and women including kids in our group. The objective of the alliance is to connect the new generation with the old generation of all ages to come and enjoy the art of Javanese dance culture. By doing this, we hope that our youngsters will steer away from bad influence that are on rampage on our modern world now. It is also to make them know the Javanese culture better. |
