Introduction I'm an artsy-kinda gal. I have a 8-5 day purchasing job downtown that I don't really care about while I try wandering down the path to becoming a midwife. I volunteer when I can as a doula, and take midwife classes when I can. I just got married in February 2008 to the wonderful man I met 4 months earlier -- things are never easy, but it's always wonderful. I'm not a "crazy feminist", I'm just looking for that happy medium of unequal fairness. I like Antiques Roadshow because I like gawking at old stuff, and I have 1970's furniture that I actually think is cool. I've been called a tree-hugging, bare-footed, gypsy-skirt-wearing hippie. But I work in the yuppie world, so I'm not that far out there. I sing (whether people like it or not, but I think they normally do). I eat lots of healthy stuff... I'm a self-proclaimed food snob on a budget, but I won't make you eat the same way I do. My gray hair is coming in, and don't pull those luscious hairs out for me. I sew a lot. I traveled the Midwest doing educational theatre, and I loved it.
Interests Hanging out with pregnant women hoping it will get me into grad school. Some reading and studying and sewing and baking and singing and other things. (I was always entirely too domestic for being a gal in my 20's.)
Favorite Music Big band, opera, musical theatre, classic rock, non-superficial pop stuff with a good melody.
Favorite Books Hmm... too many. Jane Eyre, To Kill a Mockingbird, Grapes of Wrath. And other stuff. And lots of books on pregnancy and nutrition and herbal crap and things of that sort.
