Introduction | your art is not about how many people like your work your art is about if your heart likes your work if your soul likes your work it’s about how honest you are with yourself and you must never trade honesty for relatability -rupi kaur I am a creative fiddler. I use fabrics, paper, metals and found objects and I dabble in 3D, jewellery, wall art and the odd drawing and painting |
Interests | Anything where I'm using my hands to create something, gardening, books and being with my best friend, John. I've been doing something with a needle for over 40 years, I did start very young! I'm a member of the Embroiderers Guild, Beadworkers Guild and the Quilters Guild of the British Isles and I've recently passed the City & Guilds in Creative Techniques-Textiles, Creative Quiltmaking. I am also a member of the Dorset Visual Arts group. |
Favorite Movies | Always, Plunkett & Macleane, 5th Element, Wizard of Oz and a few more, but I'm not really a film person. |
Favorite Music | Pink Floyd, Queen, Sting Zero 7, REM, Morcheeba, Dido, Elbow and absolutely anything Chillout which I have on nearly all the time, unless it's Radio 4. Or absolute silence. I like my own inner space. |
Favorite Books | Sarah Douglass, Joe Abercrombie, L.E Modesitt, Terry Pratchett, Anne MacCaffery, Elizabeth Moon, . SF&F really or historical. |
