Introduction The Blog profile is probably the most underdeveloped and underviewed page. I was the unusual high school student who squeezed in 2 art classes in one day in between her physics and calculus classes. Later, I became the "wannabe art major" who took the dreaded Intro to Art and other art classes just for fun. Today, I have a Ph.D. in social work and it's a daily struggle making the choice to wear professional attire to the office. Periodically, I regress back into my more creative fashions and expressive era. For instance, in its previous life, the skirt I am wearing was once a pair of Tommy Hilfiger blue jeans. I designed them into a fringed skirt with deep slits both up the front and back and then added my omnipresent flowers on them with fabric paint. Its a great conversation piece, which I am not always convinced is a good thing. But now you know where quirky comes into play.
Interests I started piano lessons at 8 years of age so here are a few of my favorite pieces. Some of them, shall we just say, I have been playing for way more than 30 years, while others I have been working on for a much shorter period of time. Here they are in no particular order: The Entertainer by Scott Joplin, A Time For Us Theme from Romeo and Juliet, Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel, Fur Elise by L. von Beethoven, Havah Nagilah the arrangement by Marvin Kahn (still learning), G.F. Handel's Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah (still learning), How to Save a Life by the Fray, Solffeggietto by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Turkish March by Wolfang Amadeus Mozart, and Until the Night by Billy Joel.
Favorite Movies Gone With the Wind, Flashdance, Fiddler on the Roof
Favorite Music "How to Save a Life" by the Fray, "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol, "The Impossible Dream" Theme from Man of La Mancha, "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers and I would be remiss by not adding Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice's "Jesus Christ Superstar" along with Weber's "Phantom of the Opera". Enjoyed seeing both of these musical productions on stage too, albeit in Pittsburgh. And a new found favorite of mine that still gets me up and dancing everytime is "I got a feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas. Definitely not to be confused with "What a Feeling" from Flashdance. I guess that is what one would call an eclectic taste in music.
Favorite Books These works have had an impact on me through the years-starting with of course: Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, Exodus by Leon Uris, The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough, The Once and Future King by T.H.White, and The Transparent Self by Sidney Jourard

You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?

In the closet. The China Closet of course!
