Industry Accounting
Location Hope Mills, North Carolina, United States
Introduction I'm a mostly non-evil stepmother and new first-time grandma, happily married and enjoying life as a farmer's wife, with a pack of dogs and cats. I still feel new to North Carolina and the American Way of Life (Southern variety). I find that my strange sense of humor and ability to find absurdity in the small things help with all these things, on most days. If not, there's always reading, shopping for yarn, my knitting group meets, and the heavy-duty last resorts: chocolate and books!
Interests Pet- and kid-watching, gardening, reading and writing, knitting and working on a nice stash of various yarns, both from regular craft stores and the local yarn shop (LYS) - well, kinda local...
Favorite Movies None, really, at this moment - stress reduces attention span, so I'm more for TV series. There: Buffy, Bones.
Favorite Music I'm old enough to enjoy the "best of the 70s, 80s, and 90s" radio stations, if I listen to the radio and not just enjoy the quiet. In the car, though, and at the gym it has to be loud and hard, like Rollins Band and Metallica.
Favorite Books I love Tad Williams, Rita Mae Brown, Pullman and Brust and the Harry Dresden novels (and the audio books read by James Marsters!!)... and lots more. Just give me printed stuff, I'll read it!

When your science teacher smashed a frozen rose with a hammer, did you warm the petals to bring them back to life?

Never did any such experiment - the most memorable science teacher lit his eyebrows on fire with a Bunsen burner accident and blew up a mixed-gas-experiment, which is why nobody ever sat in the front row in his classes...
