| Introduction | I am a multi-award former newspaper reporter who has been covering college basketball since 1973 not only in New York's Capital Region but downstate as long ago as when Mike Krzyzewski coached at Army. My preference has always been to cover the sport at the mid-major level, where "student" truly comes first in the "student/athlete" equation. I have covered the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference continually since 1989, Siena College since 1985, and have been an ardent follower of college hoops for as long as I can remember. Over the years I have covered games in more than 160 arenas, gymnasiums and other venues. I can also be heard doing radio color commentary for Siena women's basketball games on 88.3 FM. That work includes pre- and post-game "Keepin' Track of the MAAC" reports. |
