| Introduction | ***Hi I'm Kit Golson, an interior designer in northern California, and this is my blog. Chic Provence is a lifestyle, a way of living simply and elegantly, with a modern edge and witty charm. It is a resourceful way of life, thrifty but very creative. Think of the rustic elegance of olive groves, natural linens, rosemary and rocky hills around the Luberon; add the Neoclassical, Empire, Gustavian and Chinoiserie influences that came through Paris. Later the works of Picasso, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Dufy & Matisse add modern art to the mix. An incredible synergy is created! *** In my design work I evoke the magic of Provence to create homes of pragmatic elegance. In my blog I explore creative aspects of a Chic Provence life.
