Introduction | I (still) share a house the size of a postage stamp with a husband and two cats in a very urban area of the way-too-spread-out city of my birth (but not my entire life) and I used to correct other people's grammar for a living even though I let myself write run-on sentences. |
Interests | Cats (with a bias towards Burmese and tabbies), Crafts that are not from kits, Canning, Reading, Gardening, Telling adorable stories about my cat over and over and over |
Favorite Movies | Hard Days NIght, The Women, The 5th Element, Old (mostly b/w) movies, Bend it Like Beckham, Lilo and Stitch, Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown, Capote, Muppet Frog Prince |
Favorite Music | Depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Bubblegum pop that everyone else loathes, Irish punk, angsty stuff, indie folk/country/rock/whatevah as long as it's not too precious. |
Favorite Books | To kill a mockingbird, Well-written children's fiction, Jane Eyre, Travels with Charley, Pastwatch, Intelligent chick lit like Lorna Landvik or Alice Hoffman or Barbara Kingsolver, Pride and Prejudice, Almost anything by by the following:, Connie Willis, Joan Aiken, Octavia Butler, Tracy Kidder, or Carl Hiaasen |
If you were a cannibal, what would you wear to dinner?
Festive bunches of stinging nettles, poison ivy, and hemlock leaves over a completely impervious (and inedible) protective layer of clothing. I'd also have an outside pocket with a few spices and some nice sea salt inside ready for *my* meal.
